Feasibility
Z&F Consulting has developed custom software to accurately model cogeneration facilities for thermal usage, utility costs, and operating costs. Z&F will begin by inputting the actual 8,760 hourly electrical and thermal usage of a plant in the modeling software. This is used to validate the model’s analysis of the energy costs compared to the actual energy bills. Then, Z&F can model various cogeneration options to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solution. This modeling software has been validated multiple times by third party reviewers. Z&F’s savings predictions have always been within 5% of predictions, and typically the savings realized exceed the projected savings.
Because Z&F’s modeling is so accurate, they have analyzed plants for many clients, and only move forward on a small percentage of projects that are shown to be profitable. Z&F has performed studies for the following clients:
Abbott, AeroFarms, Albright University, Astra Foods, Atlanticare, BWXT, Campbell’s, Carpenter Technologies, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, CHOP, Drexel University, Ergon MS, Ergon WV, HP Hood, HP Hood Batavia, Foss, Gallaudet, Geisinger Health, Global Tungsten, Guthrie, Hannover, Herrs, Johns Manville, Lafayette College, Owens Corning, Penn State University, Reading Hospital, Reading Housing Authority, Rutgers University, Sanofi, St. Lukes, St Elizabeth, Temple, Timken, University of Pennsylvania, Utz.
